#4 Studded Jacket

I said I needed more Clash, and who doesn't like a nice jacket?

Studded Jacket

A leather jacket covered in metallic studs or spikes. Vital for your sea urchin or pangolin cosplay.

Moshing Nightmare: When you enter into a melee in a Sequence in which you rolled Clash+Function you may add a 4 to the Sequence. If you do, add a 6 to the Sequence for each enemy in the melee.

Shrapnel:    When the Studded Jacket is damaged you immediately add a 6 and a 5 to the Sequence.

Zipper: You may unzip the jacket. While unzipped it grants no Style but gains Short.

Style: Clash

Budget: 2

Breakdown

While 'Studded Jackets' refer to a wide range of clothing... some of which don't have that many studs. Obviously, we're describing something covered in studs. Or spikes, for that matter. Real exaggerated to the max version of things. Because that's what the game is, exaggeration and extremes. Even a more common studded jacket behaves like the exaggerated form.
Armor [1] and Outwear allow the Jacket to absorb an extra hit and be worn over other clothing without causing layering problems, if it is the outmost Article. Standard stuff for any leather (or faux leather) jacket.
Zipper is an ability that shows up on several outfits. It's always powerful giving something short, particularly Outerwear, but part of unzipping stuff is letting the clothing beneath be seen, so it feels appropriate.

Moshing Nightmare

Our signature madness. This ability lets you rush into a fight and do some real damage. Unlike most abilities that add both low and high values to the Sequence, this one stacks in favor of the lower number... but only because the higher number, low though it is, can stack up wildly. Run into a pair of bodyguards, and you're trading one 4 for two 6s. Run into a group of 6, and now you've got 3... run into a military patrol of 20 men... well, you may take some time describing that mayhem.
Of course, skilled enemies might bring in Faux Pas that make those 6s bad for you as well, so it's best against mobs of unprepared grunts.
As of right now, this ability doesn't get lost when damaged. Maybe it should be, for balance. You can argue that spikes getting broken off makes this less effective... but also jagged pieces of breaking spikes still seem dangerous. It might also be more interesting if Shrapnel triggering is at the cost of this ability... though Shrapnel may have to be better to make that worth it. We'll see.

Shrapnel

I just like the image of chaos getting added when those spikes start breaking off in jagged pieces. Most often this ability will be a straight, 'one good, one bad', but as always Graces and Faux Pas can shift the location of the spikes around.

Style

The jacket is designed to stand out in a way that violates social norms and expectations. While a normal leather jacket might be Functional or Pizazzy depending on cut and purpose, there's no getting around the studded version being Clashy.

Budget

Leather Jackets, especially when studded, can get quite pricey for good quality, and the thing is strong enough with its various features to deserve Budget 2.
